East Main Park

Ashland, Oregon

East Main Street Park will be teaming with dogs, dog owners, children of all ages, bike riders of all ages, neighbors, and community gardens. The park offers options for multiple park activities for the entire community to enjoy. Passive versus active recreation sets the tone for each area, with shared spaces creating boundaries between the different program elements. The park functions for multiple generations and user types and is grounded by the environment through material changes, signage, and sensory cues. Maintenance and longevity of the park are being explored and will continue to be researched throughout the remainder of the design process.

East Main Park was approved by the City of Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission on 11/18/23 and will move forward with construction documents. It will also be the first Salmon-Safe project in Southern Oregon through our partnership with the Southern Oregon Center for Applied Sustainability.
